简介

• 我1993年开始参与研究，2004年开始参与加速康复外科领域的研究，以及一个简单但基本的问题，“为什么在医院?”。主要的研究领域是急性和慢性术后疼痛，并在过去十年扩展到预测和预防其他术后并发症，以改善短期和长期的手术结果。我们对持续性疼痛的研究确定了手术和患者相关的危险因素，显示了量身定制的手术程序对减少疼痛风险的潜在益处，并允许风险预测模型。在此基础上，我领导丹麦卫生当局工作组对阿片类药物用于非恶性疼痛的最佳后续行动，以确保阿片类药物的最佳使用，防止出现类似于美国所经历的问题。

 

• 目前担任丹麦哥本哈根大学专科医院麻醉学教授，每年有70,000例外科手术。我的研究单位致力于通过确定术后患者系统发生的早期不良事件来优化急性术后阶段。正在进行的研究集中在预测和预防急性和持续性术后疼痛，确定每年超过11,000名术后患者的最佳围手术期医疗。包括炎症调节的随机对照试验，改善疼痛和减少阿片类药物使用的理想多模式镇痛策略。

Short biography

 

• Involved in research since 1993, and from 2004 within the field of Fast-track Surgery and the ever-simple but basic question, “why in hospital?”. Main research has been within the area of acute and chronic postoperative pain and over the last decade extended into prediction and prevention of other postoperative complications to improve short and long- term surgical outcomes. Our studies on persistent pain identified surgical and patient related risk factors, showing the potential benefit of tailored surgical procedures to reduce the risk   of pain, and allowing risk prediction models.  Based upon this I head the Danish Health Authorities work-group for optimal follow-up of opioid use for non-malignant pain, to secure optimal opioid use to prevent problems similar to the ones experienced in the US.

 

• Current position as anesthesiological professor, Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University, Denmark’s main specialized hospital with 70.000 surgical procedure annually. My research unit focuses on optimizing the acute postoperative phase by identification of systematically occurring early adverse events in postoperative patients. Ongoing studies focuses on prediction and prevention of acute and persistent postoperative pain, identification of  optimal perioperative care of more than 11.000 postoperative patients annually. This   includes randomized controlled trials for inflammatory modulation, ideal multi-modal analgesic strategies to improve pain and reduce opioid use.

 

• A main research area is the use of high-tech wireless monitoring including AI-vital sign interpretation, to identify of patients at risk for adverse events in- and out of hospital. With real-time alerts to staff. The project, called Wireless Assessment of Respiratory and circulatory Distress (WARD) is supported by the Danish government to be rolled out across hospitals and at home, and in 2023 starting international collaborations.
